The FUTURA™ software is constantly revised to improve and enhance features and to comply with updates to your computers Windows operating system.

The FUTURA™ Service Update version 1.0.0.2 has been released and is available for Download. The enhancements included in this update are listed below:

• Resolves installation issues when installing AutoPunch.

• Resolves compatibility issues created by Windows XP Service Pack 2 update.

• Increase in embroidering speed of up to 25% for most designs.

• Better handling of large color blocks for transmission to the machine.

• Improvements in transmission of designs to the FUTURA machine.

• Improved results of AutoPunch wizard.

• Resolved issue of the machine stopping in the middle of embroidering a design and requesting the user to change the small hoop to the large hoop, when the large hoop is actually attached to the embroidery unit.

• Resolved issue of the machine stopping in the middle of embroidering a design for not apparent reason.

Installing the Autopunch Software 

In order to download and install correctly :

1. Determine what operating system and version your computer is running by right clicking once on My Computer and selecting properties. To view an example click here .


2. Download the Service Update version 1.0.0.2 for your Operating system. Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP Service Pack 1 and Windows XP Service Pack 2 users who have successfully installed the Autopunch software click here , while Windows XP Service Pack 2 users unable to install Autopunch click here . (Select "Save" when prompted).
3. Detailed instructions are available by clicking here . It is recommended that you view and print these instructions before installing the service update.
4. If not installed previously the Futura software must now be installed from the original CD. Please note do not install the Autopunch software at this time.

5. Once the software installation is complete the update patch can be installed. To run the FUTURA update patch locate the file downloaded earlier and double-clicking on it.
6. Follow the on screen instructions to complete the setup of the update. When prompted place the Futura Autopunch CD in the computer. Important be careful to cancel the automatic install that will commence when you insert the CD. (Please refer to the detailed instructions)
7. If the Access Key of the original AutoPunch CD has not been entered previously it might be requested at this step.
   
   Having the FUTURA AutoPunch CD inside the CD tray, please insert the Access Key (printed on the backside of the FUTURA AutoPunch CD)


8. You are now ready to use the AutoPunch feature from within the FUTURA software.
   
   Please note that the software release is 6Mb and may take some time to download if you do not have hi-speed internet connection. Alternatively you may request the patch on CD by clicking here .
