In order to successfully install the FUTURA software on the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system you will need to download the update patch and follow the instructions listed below.

Installing the Autopunch Software

In order to download and install correctly :

1. Please Read all the detailed instructions below before you complete the installation.


2. Download the Vista Patch by clicking here . (Select "Save" when prompted).


3. After the download has completed insert the Futura CD and begin to install the basic Futura software.


4. Follow the steps of the installation procedure.

   The installation process is the same as described in the step-by-step tutorial ncluded on your original Futura software CD, or to view the Installation Guide click here (614 KB).

5. The Installation will reach 100% and then stop; it will appear that the final pop-up screen is just hanging there. Terminate the installation procedure through the "processes" tab in the Windows task manager. Select "Install.exe" and then click on "End Process". (This step will allow you to get the Futura icon on the desktop)



 

6. Close out the Windows task manager.


7. Say no to view tutorial.


8. Close Dialog box (Windows-Start Menu-Program etc)


9. Remove CD from tray.



10. Double-click on the Vista Patch icon to start the installation procedure. Wait until "Futura Vista Update screen" comes up. Click finish. Computer will ask to re-start. Click finish.


11. Right click on the FUTURA shortcut icon and select Properties.

• Check compatibility mode for Win XP SP2 Check to run the program as administrator

12. Turn on machine (with embroidery unit attached)


13. Leave "HyperFont" CD in tray.


14. Double click the Futura Icon.


15. Click on allow.


16. Enter code.


17. The following screen will pop up. Check the "Don't show this message again" box and click on "Run Program"

 

 

 

18. Turn machine off.


19. If you own "PhotoStitch", insert this CD in tray and load software following the prompts.


20. Turn on machine (with embroidery unit attached)


21. Leave "PhotoStitch" CD in tray.


22. Double click the Futura Icon.


23. Click on allow.


24. Enter code, and nothing will happen.


25. Turn machine off.


26. If you own "Auto Cross-Stitch", insert this CD in tray and load software following the prompts.


27. Turn on machine (with embroidery unit attached)


28. Leave "Auto Cross-Stitch" CD in tray.


29. Double click the Futura Icon.


30. Click on allow.


31. Enter code, and nothing will happen.


32. Turn machine off.


33. If you own "AutoPunch", insert this CD in tray and load software following the prompts.


34. Turn on machine (with embroidery unit attached)


35. Leave "AutoPunch" CD in tray.


36. Double click the Futura Icon.


37. Click on allow.


38. Enter code.


39. Turn machine off.


40. Leave "AutoPunch" CD in tray


41. After all of the available options have been installed, run the "Service update version 1.0.0.2 for CE-200 for Sp2 with options" update from the future-support site.


42. Turn machine on with embroidery unit attached.


43. Double click on FUTURA icon - it will open and function with all the options that you have loaded available.

 

 

44. You may now remove the AutoPunch CD from the tray.


45. The Installation of your Futura is complete.
